Space radiometer
The radiometer globe image on the right uses false colour (red and yellow) to show where Earth emits the most infrared radiation. Now compare the two images, remembering that the image on the left highlights regions where the earth reflects solar radiation. What do you notice about the relationship between the white regions on the left and the yellow and red regions on the right?
